JIHAD

by Dan Lewis

Juxtaposition is
everything. Matter
believes nothing. The task
is to infuse the world
with meaning. The children
are strapped into the car
with the bomb because faith
is required after all, and because
sacrifice is the only answer
that is not already spoken.
