FROZEN GOLD

by Bill Costley

The infantile Pope
pisses in the snow
& declares its virtue:

“Only I can make
frozen gold from snow.
Look! Taste it!” he

shrieks. Nobody does;
he still has decades
to perfect this trick.

Bill Costley has served on the Steering Committee of the San Francisco Bay area chapter of the National Writers Union. He lives in Santa Clara, CA.
